Third-Party Services Disclosure
Stacks relies on third-party providers to operate important parts of the service. This page gives users a clear, high-level list of the major provider categories currently reflected in the repo.
1. Infrastructure And Backend Providers
Repo-confirmed provider category: Firebase / Google services. Current repo-visible uses include authentication, database services, storage services, cloud/backend functions, notification-related infrastructure, and hosting for public site surfaces.
2. Media And Content Providers
Repo-confirmed provider category: GIPHY. Current repo-visible use: GIF search and related GIF/media discovery functionality.
3. Platform Providers
Relevant platform-provider category: Apple platform services. Current platform role includes app distribution, iOS permissions framework, and device-level operating system functionality used by the app.
4. AI Processing Providers
Stacks may use third-party AI providers to power optional in-app AI-assisted features. Current repo-visible integrations include xAI endpoints used for Grok Imagine image and video generation workflows, and Stacks may use other providers for optional AI-assisted text or media features over time. When users choose to use these features, prompts, source media, generated outputs, and related billing or abuse-prevention records may be processed by the relevant provider under that provider's terms and privacy practices.

This page provides a high-level disclosure of the main provider categories currently reflected in the Stacks service and public codebase. Stacks may update this page if provider relationships or service integrations change.
